Fox and Hounds Charweston

The Fox and Hounds, a cozy, family friendly Gatro-pub, in the beautiful village of Charwelton, Daventry, is a community‐owned pub.

Although The Fox and Hounds has been a thriving gastro pub so far, we believe, transforming the Fox and Hounds into a more community oriented, relaxing place for the locals, along with reasonably priced, fresh, cooked to order food, will ensure the success and sustainability of the village pub. Community ownership means we are able to ensure the business works alongside existing village businesses rather than competing directly with them.

Our vision is to create a central focal point for village life which will act as a catalyst to go hand in hand with the current economic climate and sense of community in Charwelton. Besides continuing, to offer a set gastro pub menu to attract the current clientele, the plan is to incorporate alongside, a traditional local British village pub serving real ale and sensibly priced wholesome food, with focus on supporting our local farmers in using their fresh produce.

We aim to bring a safe and enjoyable space for the whole community, have a base for community activities, bring in new trade through regular entertaining events throughout the year and develop the outdoor space at the back of the pub, to create a relaxed outdoor space, for families to enjoy, during the warmer days.
