Rothwell is a market town in North Northamptonshire, England. It is situated 4 miles northwest of Kettering, 7 miles (southeast of Market Harborough and 8 miles southwest of Corby. Rothwell's nearest railway station is at Kettering on the Midland Main Line.

Rothwell has a population of around 7,600 people. It is a historic town, with evidence of human habitation dating back to the Bronze Age. The town grew in importance during the Middle Ages, when it was granted a charter by King John in 1204. This charter allowed Rothwell to hold a weekly market and an annual fair.
